Budda SuperDrive 18
This is a great little amp that served me well in the dorms when I decided that my 100 watt JCM 800 was a little too loud. Don't get me wrong, this amp certainly gets loud and has a nice range of sounds. It has a nice balance of my two main amps (JCM 800 and Fender Twin Reverb). The clean channel is nice, although flat sounding compared to my twin. It's possible that this is because of the lack of reverb, although I'd take the Twin for clean tones any day. The dirty channel gets nice and gritty, although it doesn't have the umph of my Marshall. Both channels have that EL-84 sound quality, which I find thin with an overly pronounced high end compared to both EL-34s and 6L6GCs, but it's nice to be able to push the amp without angering the neighbors. The amp is very sensitive, almost moreso than my Marshall. It definitely won't cover your mistakes. The end result is an amp that is highly versitile in a small package. It's nice to not have to lug around my main rig if I want to jam with friends or travel (the Budda rode on my trunk on the way out to Portland).
